Polk Audio 65RT (Ea) 2-way In-wall Speakers Reviews
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Excellent Speakers, By HK (Tucson, AZ USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Polk Audio 65RT (Ea) 2-way In-wall Speakers (Electronics) I'm using these speakers as my front left and right speakers for a 5.1 system. I'm using the Yamaha RX-671 receiver with them and the sound is a great clean and clear sound. They were easy enough to install but you have to be comfortable cutting holes in your wall, patching them and stripping wires. My home is a new construction and I had the builder prewire it so I didn't have to deal with patching it which is a pain. The speaker cover just magnetically attaches to the speaker which makes it easy to go back and forth adjusting tweeter positions and try out the buttons they have for being too close to an adjacent wall or for having a room that is too bright. We love our new in walls, By This review is from: Polk Audio 65RT (Ea) 2-way In-wall Speakers (Electronics) We bought 2 of these to go with two 265-rt for the front left and right, 625-rt for the rears, and 255c-ls for the center. And we love them. We bought them to replace our Bose towers, to save floor space. One recommendation though. Even though the grills can be painted, they have to be spray painted. So, unless you are planning on changing the color of your walls, it might be difficult to match the paint color. If you are planning to change the wall color, pick out the spray paint first. Then match the wall paint to the spray paint. Which is a much more feasible task. Also, I would recommend Krylon spray paint from Michael's over the Valspar spray paint from Lowes. We used both, because we have two different colored walls. Krylon's spray tip was so much better than the Valspar's. The Valspar splattered way too much for my taste. |
